SDC Challenge 123 Mutiple folds

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today is Wednesday, Stampotique Designer's Challenge day, yay!!!!! Today it is all about folds:

'Welcome back to our Wednesday challenge here at Stampotique.  We are thrilled that you are joining us again this week at Stampotique Designer's Challenge and we have a fun challenge for you.
Today we want to see you try your hand at some fabulous folds.  Use more than one fold on your card, get all fancy on us and use multiple folds.'

So, this is way out of my comfort zone, my cards are usually just, well, normal cards. So I didn't have any fancy folding going on. I made a card with two folds and this is it:

I cut this card out of an A4 piece of light craft coloured cardstock. When folded close it is a normal sized card but there is a slight overlap on the bottom. I punched out the bottom of the top flap with a Martha Stewart punch. I then glued patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket) to the front and the inside. I made the closure by punching out two circles and attaching them to the card with brads. A also added a bit of bakers twine. The happy and birthday were stamped on the same paper as the card base was cut from. The two red flowers are Stampotique's Carol's flower (stamped on patterned paper from the same Cosmo Cricket pad) and the little smiling figure is called Smile (stamped on the same paper as the card was cut from) and is also from Stampotique. I paperpieced his shirt and shoes from patterned paper, again from the same pad from Cosmo Cricket.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you like it...

A little crazy...

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I did an art journal page and this is it :

This page already had the letters on it. They were made with modeling paste and the Dylusions letter stencil.  I coloured my page with gesso in which I put a few drops of Distress Ink from a reinker bottle; I used Faded jeans for the different shades of blue and Barn Door in an attempt to make the bottom purple, but it turned out lilac, which is OK. What I didn't know is that if you drip water on the dried paint it actually takes the colour out again. I assumed because it was 'encased' in the gesso it wouldn't do that but I liked the effect and dripped some more on it. I then doodled around some of the letters with a white paint pen. I also did a little bit of background stamping with grey and black inks.
I then dripped some black India Ink over the page. The stamps I used were Stampotique:

They were all stamped on white paper, coloured with water colour pencils and clear embossed. I decided to put them on some bookpaper to frame them a little bit. I found the sentiment on the internet and created that with sticky back letters which I put on booktext also. This was then glued on washitape in three different pink designs, the same as I used underneath the Tweedles and the blue bird. I used a bit of chain (from my jewelry making days) to create a lead for the blue bird.

Love builds a happy home

Hello fellow Crafters,

Here is my third and last posting for today and it is another Art Journal, this time in my big Moleskine Sketchbook.

I coloured the page with Pan Pastels in turqoise, a bit of green an two shades of yellow. I then did some stencilling with Distress Inks in roughly the same shades as the background so they are nice and subtle. Also did a little bit of stencilling with grey StaZon and white pigment ink. The stamps in the background are also done with Distress Inks. I then stamped Stampotique's Home Sweet Home
seven times on bookpage and once on white cardstock. The one on the white paper was coloured with watercolour pencils and clear embossed. I cut them all out. Next I put down the washi tape and placed the houses on top. I did stamp them on the page as well to get all the little details.
Lastly I put on the sentiment with sticky back letters and doodled around them with a white gel pen.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you like it....

Do small things.....

Hello fellow Crafters,

Welcome to my second posting for today which is a page in my mini Moleskine journal:

Again I started with modelpaste and my Dylusions letterstencil. I actually only meant to use it on one page in my big journal but squeezed to much out of the tube so I used the rest on here and the tag underneath. Anyway, I then coloured the whole thing with Pan pastels in yellow, orange and a tiny bit of red. I did a bit of background stamping with grey StaZon and white acryllic paint, also put some rub ons on. I stamped Stampotique's Tree Topper on white paper twice. Coloured the body, face and heart on one of the prints with watercolour pencils and clear embossed it. On the other one I coloured the wings with light blue and embossed them with silver glitter embossing powder. I then glued him on the page. The sentiment is made with rub ons  and glued on.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you like it.

Miss Snottie in her new dress

Hello fellow Crafters,

I've been very busy crafting today and this is the first of three posts. I must have been this extra hour we had today. You know summertime back to wintertime. Normally I would sleep an hour longer but not today. So this is my first project today :

I started with a Manilla tag # 8 and used my Dylusions letter stencil and some modelpaste to put some texture on. I then painted it with orange paint and thought it was way to bright so I used some Sepia Archival ink to distress the whole thing. I like this week's challenge over at Stampotique (Lace of Fabric) so much that I decided to make another project featuring lace. The body of Miss Snottie is actually a Doll stamp and I stamped it, coloured the arms, neck and legs and cut the head off. I Stamped it another time on patterned paper and cut out the dress and cut the bottom bit off and glued the lace on. I also stamped Stampotique's Miss Snottie on white paper and coloured her in, cut the bow off her head. I then glued the body with the dress on the tag and glued the head on top. I gave her a new bow and matted the whole thing on the same patterned paper as the dress and some brown cardstock. A few bits of ribbon finished it off.

Life is a party

Hello fellow Crafters,

Also today I made a tag for this week's Stampotique Designer's Challenge. The theme was 'Lace or Fabric' and was set by the very talented France Papillon.
This is what she said :

When stuck while making a project, it's often adding texture that gets me rolling again. But lace or fabric is often the last thing i think about when searching for texture. So, I thought it would be fun to have all of you lovely peeps make art using fabric or lace. And all those fab creations would make one awesome inspiration board!

So I used both and it looks like this :

I used a #8 Manilla tag and painted it with pink Distress Paint. After that dried I used a blending tool and put some Picked Raspberry ink over the top to make it a bit more vibrant. I did some background stamping with grey and black and then decided to stamp the rings with Versamark and emboss them with silver embossingpowder. It doesn't really show on the photo unfortunately. I used Mela and she decided she wanted a new dress if she had to go on this tag. So I made her a dress from green polkadot fabric and made the  skirt from a bit of lace. The diamant necklace and the Rose corsage finish off the dress nicely. She was very pleased !! For the rest of Mela, I stamped her on white paper and coloured and clear embossed her as usual and then put the dress on her. She was placed on pink polkadot washi tape which I also used to put the sentiment on. Lastly I mounted the tag on dark grey cardstock and put a bit of ribbon and lace through the hole.

Hope you like it......

Happy Halloween

Hello fellow Crafters,

This is my first of two postings today.

It's Thursday and that means another challenge over at the Tag Along Challenge Blog. This week's theme is Steampunk Halloween. Now I really like steampunk but I have never 'practised' it so I have no stamps or gears or anything like that. So I asked hubbie if he had some gears lying around and, bless him, he did have some but they were plastic. So I had to paint them. Anyway here goes :

I started of with a bit of silver cardstock which I cut into a tag shape. I then embossed it with the Clock embossing folder from Tim Holtz. I then tried to make it look like metal by rubbing it with black and a bit of brown archival ink. After I painted the gears with silver ink and clear embossed them I gave them the same treatment with the Archival Inks. I decided to glam them up a bit by glueing a turqoise rhinestone in every one apart from the top one which I used as a reinforment ring for the tag. I stamped  Stampotique's Clover on white paper, coloured her with watercolour pencils and glued her on some patterned paper. I used the smallest gears for here eyes and gave her a bow in her hair. I used the rest of the gears here and there on the tag and mounted the whole think on the same patterned paper and some turqoise cardstock. Lastly I put some black and blue ribbon through the hole and put the happy halloween on.

Uptown girl

Hello fellow Crafters,

After struggling with making the CAS card for the Craftorij this morning, I thought I try and do another art journal page and this is it:

The page was gessoed and painted with light blue Paperartsy Fresco paint. I then used a TCW stencil for the bricks. I did those with Pan Pastels. I also did a little bit of background stamping. The butterflies were stamped with Versa Mark and then coloured with white Pan Pastel. I used Stampotique's Gibi, stamped her on white paper, coloured her with watercolour pencils and clear embossed her before I glued her on the page. Tip: If you put dubble sided tape on the back of your stamped, coloured and embossed image and then cut it out you only have to remove the backing and stick it on your page, very easy!
For the tree and the flowers and leaves I used bits of Stamptique's Tree on the trunk and the branches. The flowers are punched out and the leaves came from a Dylusions stampset and were cut out individually. The paper I used for all of this were paint swatches from the DIY store. I glued a little jewel in each flower. Lastly I stamped 'Uptown girl' , another song title, on the page and that was it !

CAS Card

Hello fellow Crafters,

This morning Coby set the 4th challenge in the Stampotique Month from the Craftorij.
She wants us to make a CAS (Clean And Simple) project. Now for me this was a great big problem because my work is anything but clean and simple. So after several tries that landed in the bin I finally came up with a card but only after I had a look through some of my magazines. This idea came from the Stampers' Sampler from july/aug this year, page 92/93 :

I stamped a white card with polkadots and Versafine black ink. I then stamped Heart Shirt on a bit of white cardstock, cut him out and glued him on the yellow polkadot paper. I then glued the polkadot piece on the card and lastly I stamped the sentiment on another bit of paper and glued that over the yellow. That was it, simple isn't it ?

La dolce vita

Hello fellow Crafters,

I played with my art journal today but didn't have much inspiration. I started out one way and ended another, didn't really know what I was doing. At the end of it all, this is what it looks like and I'm not sure I like it very much :

I used Pan Pastels for the base colour which were a few shades of yellow. I then went in with stencils and Versamark Ink and used a green Pan Pastel and also some background stamps with orange Distress Inks. I distressed the edges of the page with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and black Archival. I still wasn't sure about this but decided to battle on. I stamped the frames on patterned paper with black Archival Inks, tore them out, distressed them with Vintage Photo and glued them on the page. I stamped Fofe  (Stampotique) on the same patterned paper, coloured him with colour pencils and clear embossed him. I decided to put him on a bit of washi tape. I thought the whole thing had a bit of an ancient Italian/Roman feel to it, so I decided on the sentiment "La Dolce Vita" which was made with sticker letters on some of, again, the same patterned paper, which, by the way, has Latin writing on it.

Hope you like it, not sure I do !!! lol !

Discover

Hello fellow Crafters,

This is my second posting for today, I also made this tag :

I started with Gesso which I coloured with a few drops of Distress Ink (from a reinker bottle). I used Scattered straw. I then used one of my new stamps from Tim Holtz: the hot air balloon and stamped it with StaZon on the tag. After that I decided to use the place/streetname stamp again. I stamped it over the top of the balloon and clear embossed it. I then rubbed the whole think lightly with brown Archival Ink which made it stand out a bit more. I used the same ink around the egdes.
I then stamped the balloon again on patterned paper and cut out the balloon itself and the basket. I clear embossed these bits and glued them on the tag. I used a marker to colour the flag and sandbags.
The word 'discover' is a sticker and after matting the tag on some brown cardstock a black ribbon finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you like it .....

City girl

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I made this ATC:

I used some Barn door Distress Ink for a project and sprayed the bit that was left over on my craftsheet with water and smooshed this ATC card in it. SO it went a pinkish/reddish colour. It had been lying on my desk for a few days and today I thought I'd use it for a quick project.
I have a new Tim Holtz stampset and it contains this stamp with place names and street names like Times Square and Coney Island. I stamped it on the ATC with Versamark and clear embossed it. I distressed the edges with black archival Ink and put some bits of rub on here and there. I stamped Clover on patterned paper with Versamark Ink and ebossed her with black embossing powder.
I used sticky back letters for the words 'City girl' and that was it .

The boys are back in town

Hello fellow Crafters,

I heard the Thin Lizzy song 'the boys are back in town' on the radio and it gave me the idea to do an art journal page with my favourite Stampotique boys. I also had already prepped a page in my journal a while ago, so all I had to do was stamp and colour 'the boys'. While I was doing that my hubbie brought me a cup of coffee (yes, he is very well trained ;o)) and he said 'Why not give them baseball caps'. I thought that was a brilliant idea so that's what I did. Here's the result:

The background was made with Distress Inks and I used the Dylusions number stencil and sprayed water on it to make the numbers lighter. I also did a little bit of background stamping with Distress Inks and black Archival Ink. Oh, I forgot, I glued some bookpaper on as well, before colouring. I put some washi tape on the places where the boys where going and decided to do a black and white border around the page. Lastly I put the sentiment on with sticky back letters.
I used these Stampotique stamps:

Journey

Hello fellow Crafters,

Here is the second helping for today. I made this mini art journal this afternoon after I came back from a visit to a craft exhibition; well I had to used some of my new goodies !

This page was started with Pan Pastels in turqoise which wasn´t vibrant enough for me so I then went over with Distress Ink in Salty Ocean.  I then stamped on of my new stamps on it which was one of Tim Holtz' set Remnants CMS 130 but you can´t really see it anymore. It´s the one with the street names, places in I think New York.
I then did some more background stamping in blue and black and aged the edges of the page with black Archival Ink. I used some of TH´s rub ons which are also called remnants. The word journey and the little stars are stickers from a set I bought today. The journey sticker was placed on some thin corrugated paper which I destressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The little man is called Head and is from Stampotique Originals.
He was stamped on white paper, I coloured just his face and his trousers today and paperpieced his shirt and shoes. I did still clear emboss the image after that. The wings are from a collage sheet from DeviantScrap.com. I think that was it.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it .....

Chin up buttercup

Hello fellow Crafters,

I have two mini art journals to share today. This one I made yesterday:

I did the background with Pan Pastels; I'm still trying them out and I think I like them ! I stencilled some roman letters on it with green Distress Inks and flowers with white ink. I distressed the edges with grey Stazon which I also used to do the rings. I used an old screwtop from a tube of toothpaste for them. Little Heart Shirt  (from Stampotique) was stamped on white paper, coloured with watercolour pencils and clear embossed. I put him on two black and white lines. These came from a Dylusions stampset; I just coloured it with white an black pens. The flower behind Heart Shirt is from Hero Arts and I stamped it with Versamark and then coloured it with orange Pan Pastels, clear embossed it and placed it behind his head. The little sentiment was printed with a label machine.

Hope you like it.

Someone is watching you

Hello fellow Crafters,

This is my second posting and this is my entry for this weeks Stampotique Designer's Challenge which is Halloween. Carol is our host this week and this is what she wrote :

"I particularly choose the month of October to host the challenge as I love Halloween. it was the quirky off beat stamps of Daniel Torrente that first drew me to Stampotique all those years ago, as it then seemed to me that I could make Halloween themed items all year with his gothic style stamps and no one would realize that was what I was doing. I think I may have broken the record on my make for the challenge with the most rubber stamps used on one item, but it was hard as there were just so many to choose from. Hope you all enjoy the challenge and get your spook on for the whole month. carol x

So this is what I made:

This is an art journal spread in my medium Moleskine. I started with a layer of orange paint. One of my Halloween goodies from Jane (as is the spider). I stamped 'Heads' on it as a background and used a white gel pen to highlight their beady little eyes. I also used one stencil (harlequin) with white ink. As I don't own any spiderweb stamps, or any other proper Halloween stamps for that matter, I drew the spider web with a black and silver pen. I had to give this lovely spider a home after all.
I stamped 'Batboy' on white paper and coloured him with watercolourpencils and clear embossed him. I found the pumpkins in a magazine and glued them in the page to put Batboy on.
Lastly I put some rub ons on and stamped the sentiment on black paper with Versamark ink, white embossed it and doodled around the words with a white gel pen.

Haunted house

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today is Thursday and that means another Challenge over at Tag Along. This week is "Haunted House". Now for me this Halloween business is all quite difficult, simply because here in Holland we do not really do Halloween although I have seen some creepy stuff in the shops. I do like all the art that is being shown on the different blogs and websites so slowly I am getting used to it. Anyway I made this :

Started off with a #8 Manilla tag and coloured it with yellow and orange Pan Pastels. After putting fixative on it and drying it I aged the edges with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. Also did a tiny bit of background stamping. I found the house and the bat on the internet and changed it a bit. The moon was punched out of some light yellow paper and glued on. The little boy came from a collage sheet from DeviantScrap.com. I put a wizzard's hat on him to make him look a bit spooky. Don't know if he does though ! The bottles were stamped with Distress Inks and altered a bit. I then clear embossed them en glued them on. Lastly I made the little sentiment with rub on letters. This was also distressed a bit and clear embossed. After glueing it on the tag I doodled around with with black and white gel pens. A bit of orange ribbon finished it off.

Haloween goodies

Hello fellow Crafters,

No crafting today I'm afraid, too busy doing other things. I just thought I put my little present on here.
I commented on Jane Wetzel's blog and won some Haloween goodies ! Yay !

Yesterday it arrived in the post and I am very happy with them, here's a photo:

I will make something with some of the stuff for this week's Stampotique Challenge which is Haloween !

Thank you Jane !!!!

I feel pretty....

Hello fellow Crafters,

This is my second posting for today. The first thing I did today was look what the third challenge in the Stampotique month over at the Craftorij Facebookpage was. I found out it was numbers so I made this mini art journal page with lots of numbers in it :

The background was coloured with Pan Pastels, I did glue some old booktext over it before applying the colour. I then went along and stamped and stencilled lots of numbers over the background, highlighting some of them with a white gel pen. I also used some washi tape with numbers ons and a little rub on. I used Marci again because she is one of my favourites. The sentiment is a bit of a song I think and it was made with sticky back letters.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you like it ....

Boo

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I came across another challenge HERE. It is the first ever challenge from a shop called "a Sprinkle of Imagination" and they want us to use 3 of the following colours: cadbury purple, true lime, pumpkin, golden yellow and pale sage.
So I thought I give it a go:

The background of this mini art journal was done with yellow and orange Pan Pastels. I stamped some background stamps over it with black ink which I stamped off first so it wasn't too black. I then stamped the scary faces. This stamp is called 'Oh boys !' and is from Stampotique. I coloured them with purple, yellow and lime green which looks more like sage on this picture.
I then stamped the word BOO on the page with Versamark and black embossed it. Lastly I doodles around the letters and around the page with white and black.
Thanks for stopping by !
Hope you like it....

Two ATC's

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I made two ATC's. I think they are so much fun to make. Anyway here they are :

Both backgrounds were made with Pan Pastels. I used some background stamps and did some doodling on both cards. I used the following Stampotique stamps (what else ?? ;o))

The sentiment 'who died and made you queen' is from Viva Las Vegas Stamps.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like them .....

The perfect outfit

Hello fellow crafters,

Today I made an art journal spread. I had to try out my new Pan Pastels!! (Thanks Coby ;o))
This is what I came up with:

The background colour was made with yellow and orange Pan Pastels. I then stamped the Tim Holtz retro circles on it with Versamark and went over it again with orange. (If you use Pan Pastels you will have to use a fixative after every layer.) The white polkadots were made with a stencil and white ink. I also put a Paperartsy ledger stamp on here and there and used black Archival ink for a bit of contrast. I made the banner by stamping one of the Dylusions stamps from the "Bags of bunting" set on some patterned paper with text. I coloured the polkadots with orange and red markers and cut them out. I glued some bakers twine in red on the top of the page and hung the little flags on it. The girl is from Stampotique and she is called "Mothloved". You can find her here.
As usual I coloured her with watercolour pencils, clear embossed her and cut her out. I also stamped her on the page so all the little details are still there even if you don't cut very precisely.
The sentiment came from Pinterest and was printed on white paper which I then cut down and glued on bits of washi tape; the same I used to put Mothloved on.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you like it.

What a belter !

Hello fellow crafters,

I made another tag today for the Stampotique Designer's Challenge :

Val is our hostess this week and she is challenging us to Handles, hinges, buckles, fasteners, pulls - different ways to flip, fold, fasten, open, close and grasp! These could be used on cards, dimensional projects, envelopes or altered/recycled/found objects.... faux or real - anything goes!

This is what I made:

I started with Paperartsy Fresco Finish paint in Mermaid (love this stuff, and no, they don't pay me to say that)  and then stamped the Tim Holtz butterfly on it with Versamark. I then coloured them with Pan Pastels in turqoise and doodled on them with a white gel pen. I also did some background stamping but tried to keep it really subtle. The rings were stamped with my home made o-ring stamp. I also put on some rub ons. I used and old watch strap to put Fofe on. Fofe is from Stampotique and was stamped on white paper and coloured with watercolour pencils. After glueing him on I made the sentiment with sticky back letters.
Lastly I put some black velvet ribbon through the hole.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you like it ........

Hocus Pocus

Hello fellow Crafters,

Over at the Tag Along blog the challenge was set by Gez Butterworth and she chose Hocus Pocus for this week.
Now, Haloween and all that are quite alien to me but I do like all the magical stuff that has been made by lots of people over the last few weeks for it. So I gave it a go and used on of my favourite stamps :

The tag was coloured with DI's in purple, yellow, orange and black. I used the same colours to stamp some background stamps on there. The bottle is from a stampset from Crafty Individuals and the girl turned witch is from Stampotique, she is called Gooseneck and you can find her here.
I stamped her and the bottle on white paper and watercoloured both with the same Distress Inks. I cut off Gooseneck's bow on her head and instead made her a witch hat. The sentiment was made with a computer and distressed and glued on. A bit of purple ribbon and a black mat finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it.....

Autumn

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today the second Challenge for the Stampotique month over at the "Craftorij" was announced by Coby and she chose Autumn. Why not hop over and play along ?
Anyway, this is what I made:

I decided to make another ATC and started with rounding the corners. This just looks that bit nicer, I think. I then used Distress Inks in orange, green and brown to colour the paper. The brown was mainly used to age the edges. I splattered some water on it to create some interest and also used a background stamp in the same colours. In the top left corner I stamped a bit of tree from an Indigo Blu stampset. The white circles were made with a cap and white ink. I chose the sentiment first and this made me think of this Stampotique stamp straight away ! You can find him here. He was stamped on white paper, coloured with watercolour pencils and clear embossed. He was placed on a bit of old dictionary. The quote was printed on some Kraft paper, aged with brown distress ink and glued on. Lastly I doodled around the quote with a black pen.

Thanks for stopping by !

Sunday 6 October 2013

You know it was a good day...

Hello fellow Crafters,

This was the second project for todaÿ:

This was made in my tiny Moleskine journal. I sprayed the pages with pink and orange Dylusions and then painted gesso over it to tone it down slightly. I used a TCW stencil with flowers all over the background with Distress Inks in Pink and Orange. After that I used the Dylusions number stencil with white ink and doodled around the numbers with a white gel pen. The black circles were made with an old top of a tube. I also did some background stamping with grey and white ink. The little animals are called 'Line up' and are, of course, Stampotique.
I stamped them on white paper and again straight on  my page. This way, when you cut them out, you don't have to be too precise. For instance the whiskers will be on your page and you don't need to cut them out. I coloured them with water colour pencils and clear embossed them. I then glued them to their images on the page after I put down some washi tape. The sentiment came from  Pinterest and I thought this was very fitting !

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you like it .....

Dance

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I had another delightful afternoon crafting as hubby went model flying and I had the house to myself. I started out with this tag being pink, can you believe it ?

So I painted it pink and then stamped the Dylusions Alphabet stamp on it in Versamark and clear embossed it. The idea was to go over it with brown Distress Ink and wipe off the excess to reveal the pink letters again. That didn´t work so I painted burned sienna acryllic paint over it and when this had dried I put some scratch paper over it and ironed it. This made the embossing powder melt again and leave the letters pink,  as the first layer was pink ! I then thought it was too brown, so I used my blending tool and Spiced Marmelade (orange) Distress Ink and put it all over the tag.  You can still see the pink letters. I then stamped some background stamps over it with Sepia Archival ink. The photo of the dancing couple came from a self adhesive collage sheet and I fussy cut it. The lace border is a rub on as are the butterflies, the girl´s wing and the crown on the man´s head. After I put all this together I then cut out the words Le Tango which were on the same picture as the couple. The words Dance made up out of sticky back letters. A bit of ribbon, a beige mat and some doodling with black and white finished it off.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you like it.......

Saturday 5 October 2013

Perfect day !

Hello fellow Crafters,

So this is my third and last posting for today.
This was actually my first project for today, I always go to my craftroom with the idea to make one
project and I usually end up doing a few little projects after I finished the big one. So that was what happened today. You can see the other two projects if you scroll down.
Anyway this is what I made :

I started with stamping a Tim Holtz stamp all over the page with Versamark and then revealed it with Pan Pastels. I then painted gesso all over it to tone it down. Of course I then thought it was too white so I went in with the Distress Paint in Broken China. The background has almost disappeared. Oh, well. Anyway I then did my usual background stamping and stencilling and I went around the edges with a blue watersoluble crayon to make it a bit darker. I doodled around the big flowers (Stampotique Carol's Flower large) with a white gel pen. The small flower (Stampotique Carol's Flower small) was stamped on white paper, coloured with a mixture of colour pencils and markers, clear embossed and cut out. Mary got the same treatment. I placed her on some Washi tape as I did with the sentiment which was made with sticker letters.

Thanks for stopping by !

Hope you like it.....

Relax

Hello fellow Crafters,

This is my second posting for today and this time I made a tag.
Started out painted bright yellow, what happened there ???

Again I played with my newly aquired Pan Pastels, this time over the top of the yellow paint which was too bright anyway. So I also used Distress inks in Peeled Paint (green) and Vintage Photo (brown). I dripped some water on it to distress it a bit more.  I also used a background stamp with blue Archival. The chair (clear embossed after stamping on patterned paper) and the swirl are from a stampset from Stampendous. The other black accents are rub ons. I made the little sentiment with my label maker. The chair is sitting on some washi tape from Tim Holtz. I matted the tag on some brown cardstock and a bit of ribbon then finished it off.

ATC featuring Mela

Hello fellow Crafters,

This is the first of three post for today. Yep, I have been in my craftroom all day. Bliss......
I like making ATC's so here's another one :

This was a white ATC of which I rounded the corners and then stamped a swirly image (Tim Holtz) on it with Versamark. I then went over this with Pan Pastels which revealed the image. The edges were distressed with Distress ink in Broken China and black Archival Ink. I also used a background stamp from Paperartsy with black Archival ink.
I put a drop of Versamark Ink on my finger (from the reinker bottle) and dragged it from top to bottom a few times and silver embossed it. I then put some rub ons on. I stamped Stampotique's Mela on white paper and coloured her with watercolour pencils, clear embossed her and cut her out. I then glued her on the ATC and cut off what didn't fit.

Does my bum look big in this ?

Hello fellow Crafters,

My last posting for today is an Art Journal spread:

This page was started with gesso and acrylic paint in burnt umber, which I put on with an old creditcard. I then put the circles on using a stencil and modeling paste. When this was dry I added background stamping and stencilling. After that I coloured the circles with Pan Pastels and used a fixative between every layer. I stamped Stampotique's  'Underwhere' on white paper, watercoloured him and cut him out. I then stamped him again on gessoed and destressed booktext. The painted one was then glued on the one stamped on the booktext, if you know what I mean. I also put on some washi tape to stand him on. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and black embossed, I also glued this on some booktext.

Some more ATC's

Hello fellow Crafters,

Today I also made some more quick ATC's :

This one was made on a background which I did in a workshop where we used alcohol inks. I just added the fence, the butterflies and the word beauty. I also doodled a bit with a white gel pen.

For this one I made the background with my Pan Pastels (only got three :o)) and then stamped the word Paris with Versamark and went over it again with Pan Pastels. I doodled round the letters with a white gel pen. The gentleman came from the same stampset (Victorian Vintage, clear stamps CS0865 from Marianne design) and was stamped on patterned paper (with text). He was placed on a bit of washi tape.

Spooky

Hello fellow Crafters,

When I was surfing the net yesterday I came across the Crafty Individuals Challenge blog. Their challenge is October, anything October reminds you off. Well, since I've been in Halloween mood for a few projects I thought I'd make another spooky tag:

The background was made with Distress Inks. I used some background stamps and as stencil and then used Crafty Individual stamps for the little birds and the lady. I did cut her original wings of and replaced them with some from a butterfly. She was coloured with colour pencils and glued on a bit of booktexts and some washitape. I made the word Spooky with a label machine. Lastly I mounted the tag on orange and brown cardstock and put some ribbon through.

Hi - ATC

Hello fellow Crafters,

For my third and last posting for today I made an ATC for the 'anything goes' Challenge over at the Stamping Cottage.

This is what I made:

I glued booktext on an ATC sized card and painted it pink. I did some background stamping and aged the edges with grey and black ink. I then stamped the Postcard stamp on there which is from Tim Holtz and used a rub on with the same text also from Tim Holtz. The 'Waving Spotted Monster' is from Stampotique and for those of you who don't know yet: I am hopelessly addicted to these stamps ! I coloured him with watercolour pencils and clear embossed him. He is standing on some washitape. Lastly I made the little label and glued it on.

Something wicked this way comes..

Hello fellow Crafters,

I've been busy today; hubbie is away so I have all the time in the world to craft and craft I did !
This is my second posting of three and it is a tag I made for the 6th challenge over at Mandy's blog Tag Along and the theme is 'something wicked this way comes'.
After some thinking, this is what I came up with :

This is a #8 tag and I coloured it using Distress Ink in red, orange and brown. After that I dripped some water on it and dried it. I felt I wanted some gold today so I got out my reinker for my Versamark and just dabbed the bottle on the tag which made the dots. I then sprinkled gold embossing powder over it and heated it till melteld. I then put the same ink on my finger and rubbed it top to bottom in a few places and again gold embossed it. I thought it looked quite cool ! I then stamped the Tim Holtz skull stamp on there. The witch came from the internet, I think the 'Land of Nod' and I cut her out and glued her on together with the dictionary words 'wicked' and 'witch'.
A bit of ribbon finished it off.

Stampotique Month over at the Craftorij

Hello fellow Crafters,

Over at the Craftorij Facebook Page they are having a Stampotique Month with a Challenge every week ! As the worlds greatest Stampotique fan I couldn't not enter !
This is what I made for the red, orange and one other colour challenge:

I thought I go the other way though. Instead of using red and orange for the background and using turqoise as a third colour I decided to use the turqoise for the background and do the rest in orange and red (yes, those little hearts really are orange and red, just not so visible on the picture).
So I used Pan Pastels (first time) for the background and stamped Daniels Hearts on it. I then stamped the hearts again on white paper and coloured them all, cut them out and glued them on the tag. Heart Shirt was stamped on patterned paper and given a new heart which was a leftover from all the hearts on the left. Lastly I used a labelmaker for the word love, matted everything on orange and red, added some ribbon and that was that !

Boo !

Hello fellow Crafters,

It's Wednesday and that means Stampotique Challenge day, yay ! Sam is hosting this weeks Challenge and she chose ATC's. I've only recently started making ATC's and I am really enjoying it.
So, with halloween around the corner (unfortunately we don't really do Halloween in Holland) I thought to make one a little bit Spooky :

Here's how:
I started with putting Versamark ink through a roman letter stencil from TCW. I then white embossed this. After this I used I blending tool and put pink and purple Distress Inks all over it. Because of the embossing the letters stay white.  I then used some more stencils and dripped some water on it. I decided to use Marci again, she is so sweet.
She wanted to wear her new cape and hat for Haloween, so that was that.
I stamped her on white paper, painted her and then clear embossed the whole image. I then placed her on the ATC on a bit of washi tape. Lastly I made the little label with a labelmaker.
